BLS/CPR by AHA

hey guys, im currently sending resumes in some hospitals in texas. Some requires BLS by AHA, Im in canada right now. I do have CPR cert by canadian association. Does anyone knows if I can get CPR by AHA online? will they accept it?  When I was in NY, I did not have a problem submitting my CPR from Canada. Thanks in advnce!

If you are referring to a BLS card from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, this should be an acceptable card.  The following was copied from the FAQs about AHA Training website:

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) works closely with the AHA. The HSFC provider card is recognized by the AHA and can be used for admission to an AHA provider course (renewal or update) or Instructor course in the same discipline. The HSFC Instructor card is recognized by AHA Training Centers the same way as an Instructor card issued by an AHA Training Center.

We suggest that you show your employer the  AHA Course Card Reference Guide (p. 51) to see pictures of HSFC cards and read about our relationship.

Having said that, each facility is free to determine which BLS cards and programs they find acceptable.
