Curious if anyone else has been considering applying for this session...

Awesome!!

I’m not aware of one at this time.. It seems to be a pretty quiet cycle (crossing fingers that's true!)

Do y’all mind sharing your scores? I think mine had a 33.18 on it when I submitted it. This is my first time applying to Blinn’s program, so I’m not entirely sure what to expect.

How do you calculate your points? I retook some courses and I’m confused on how to average those.
My first time applying to Blinn as well.

GPA x 5

Required courses +1 each (up to 7)

TEAS (+2, 4, 6 depending on score)

Reading, math, english and science +1 point each if over a certain score

Bonus for patho +1

My understanding is if you retook a class within the past 5 years, the grade is averaged. So if you took Engl 1301 in 2017 and got a C but retook it in 2020 and got an A, it would be considered a B for GPA purposes. But if you took English in 2011 and got a C, since it’s more than 5 years old, you would be considered to have an A.

I applied with 32.5 points! This is actually my second time applying. The first time I applied was last semester and I had 28.5 points and got on the alternate list. My friend got into the program for this semester and I believe she had 32 points.

Good job!! That’s a huge leap!

Hello all,

There are two approved ways of creating a special area for your cohort on this site.

One: create a facebook page.

Two: create a "club" for your cohort by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page.

References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.

 Thank you.

Thank you! I studied my butt off for the TEAS to get advanced & took pathophysiology over the Summer! I would say with your 33 points is almost a guaranteed acceptance though!

I thought about patho but decided against it. I did A&P2 in Summer 1 and micro in Summer 2.. by the time micro ended I was ready for a break ?

Crossing fingers we both have an easy in!

If I were you I wouldn’t have taken it either LOL. And 20 more days til we find out!
