Is there a way to find out if an entire company has blackballed a former employee?

Yes. Call and ask if that employee is considered rehirable. If the answer is no, then it is likely you are on a list to not be hired throughout the corporation.
If you live in Texas, you can also request your file from Group One. If you are blacklisted on Group One you pretty much have to move out of Texas to find work.
What the issue is I worked at HCA hospital some 8 years ago. They had a glitch where I didn't get paid for a couple weeks. I got upset and I didn't want to work without being paid so I called in and told them such. I was termed and that was that. What I found odd was that a PTA told everyone she was gonna shoot the place up and kept her job.

Have you not been hired somewhere else because of this?
Well it seems I cant get another HCA job. That sucks since they are creating a hospital monopoly nowadays.
HCA keeps records so yeah, you probably burned that bridge. Hindsight and all that.
