have a big problem and need some input

hello i recently lost my position because of crossing the line between nursing and doctors and will be reported to the office of professions. No harm came to the patient, however the doctors were quite miffed. Has anyone out there ever had a problem within their career where they had their license on the line and what the proceedures are and how long the investigation takes. :crying2:
