Hello all!
I'm not sure why it didn't occur to me in the beginning, (perhaps I was too busy trying to complete prerequisites) but there is actually a lot of preparation involved in registering for classes after being accepted to the nursing programs. No, I didn't get an acceptance letter (yet.. fingers crossed), but I am better aware of the required immunizations, titer and certifications I am expected to provide before-hand. For example, at State College of Florida, we are being asked to become a CNA (just when we thought we were done taking classes ). I am sure the titer and immunizations part is something expected at all programs. What kind of things are YOU expected to do? I figure it's best to get ideas from others and wonder if that's something I'll need to do as well.. than to sit back and wait for suprises. Thanks for reading!

If all goes well and I get into the Fall program I am applying for, the things required are:
Buy a watch, scrubs, lab coat, shoes, stethoscope, pressure cuff
Provide proof of health insurance
Update vaccines/get titers
Provide background check and drug test
Get CPR certified
Provide final transcripts to school
Buy a new laptop
Familiarize myself with drug calculations
Find a place to live, move, rent out current place, etc :)
Attend orientation
