bedside burnout, alternative?

I'm looking for any and all RN jobs that do not include the bedside. So far I've come up with insurance RN, case mgmt, utilization review, home health...but I want to make ok money. I don't expect to make what I'm making bedside, but a decent salary..

There must be a few things I'm not considering, right? I have read through the threads on here and I love all of the suggestions, but I'm not sure where to begin looking for outside of the box RN positions..

Thanks for the advice.

Outpatient, clinics, mental health, and public health are other options...what background do you have and what interests you?

I don't know if jobs outside bedside are necessarily less stressful and the cure for burn out. You may consider plasma centers, dialysis centers, same day surgery outpatient facilities. But these jobs have there own set of stressors.

Some of the case management employment has quality indicators or objectives that nurses have to meet. Patient's don't always buy into these objectives and consequently, case management can be quite challenging. I worked in dialysis and meeting medicare objectives was also very stressful. The pace at some of the office jobs can be hectic, and supervision of anxillary staff is sometimes stressful. Moreover, there is little nursing support in office jobs, because they don't hire many registered nurses in the office setting.

I'm not sure what the answer to burn out is. I suspect overall the cure is good staffing, an ability to perform the task without too much emotional involvement, work schedules with some flexibility to allow for some degree of life work balance and possibly more factors.

I am in the same boat. I'm just wondering what the average pay is for like case management nurses. Also, how to get into that with case management certification and experience.
