i have about 2.5 weeks left before i retake the NCLEX exam for the second time, my daily routine consist of reviewing content for a study guide and answering questions from Lippinott book. I notice when answering the question i have a habit of jumping to an option without fully reading the rest of the options or even rereading the question clearly and this has been my downfall. i have purchased the Kaplan book on testing strategies and plan on utilizing the guidelines for the next two weeks. Its beyond frustrating and i needed someplace to vent, hopefully you understand. Any advice??

I have 5 weeks left before my exam and this is the only time I have where I've got no distractions and nothing else to do but wake up, eat, study, eat, sleep and basically survive. Last night I just had a nervous breakdown because I feel like I can't do it anymore. Sorry if this reply isn't very helpful but I just wanted to "vent" too. Maybe you should try to figure out what makes you not re-read the question first before answering? I have a friend who told me that that happens to her too and she realized that it was because she wasn't relaxed, she was mostly anxious and always in a hurry to finish the exam. She would get distracted by the thought that it is a timed exam and she might not finish it on time.
i'm in the same boat...sometimes when i reach a boiling point i close the book and walk away or even look outside for atleast 15 minutes. I realize i'm not going to get every single question right, but its still frustrating. Your almost there keep it up. i decided for the last two weeks just to focus on strategies, practice and review. I have to train myself to reach each question and to read the question clearly and not too quickly. But i appreciate you leaving a comment. Makes me realize there are other people on here as well that need to vent. Just remember anytime you need a vent buddy i'm here...lol
