Hi!
I am going to start CUNY Hunter in the Fall. I will not be able to apply to the nursing program until the Spring 2007 semester. I hear that it is a tough program to get into so I am worried. They look at all grades and earlier in my college career I was stupid and never withdrew from 2 classes so I received F's in those classes. The other grades are mostly in the B-B+ range. I have tried to have those F's removed but the professors will not budge.
I am worried that after putting in the time and money that I will not get accepted into the program. At this point this is my only option to get my BSN since I cannot afford a private university.
Does anybody have any backup plans if they do not get into the nursing program at there current school?
Thanks
Tracy

Have you spoken with an academic advisor/someone from the nsg program, who told you for sure that those F's are going to prevent you from entering the program at Hunter?
CUNY has other colleges with generic/entry level RN programs, York College in Queens comes to mind. Take a look at the CUNY website. Also, look at the SUNY website. There are plenty of options here in NY.
No one from the school said that the 2 F's would affect me getting into the program. They do bring my GPA down though. I would have over a 3.0 but it brings it down to a 2.8. I will have to work my butt off to get B+ or above in every class I take so my GPA will raise even with the 2 F's.
Thanks for your input
