I need some help, I had a misdemeanor, that I plead nolo contento to. It was fight between my boyfriend and I. No one went to jail, but I had to go to court and have a "disorderly conduct/fighting", with a $250.00 fine that I had to pay. My question is that someone told me that when I send in my statement to the BON that I should have the help of an attorney. Should I go to a family lawyer, or someone that is a "nurse/lawyer", who, would be the one to help me the most? Are the nurse/lawyer fighting for you or the BON?....Also do those "background searches" on the Internet help, or not really, they are not as in debt as the FBI?
I'm starting my last semester of RN school.
