back to the night grind....

So, tonight I FINALLY get to go back to my night crew....I've been off nights for about 2 1/2 months..so I know it's gonna take a few weeks to get back into it. I stayed up til 3AM last night, but I couldn't even stay asleep past 11....that sucks. So, someone remind me..how do you stay awake til late?

Well I usually start by just relaxing after the rest of my family goes to bed. When I start getting sleepy I get up and do housework (yuck) or I head out to the 24 hour store to do some shopping. I am naturally a night owl so staying up isn't usually a problem. Welcome back to the wonderful world of nights!

just think about all the shopping you could do with everyone taking your size or all the appointments you could go to or the drive to work without traffic that what keeps me working nights i hate traffic

I know the benefits....just got home, wasn't too bad...hit a wall about 2AM but then I had meds to hang, patients to check on, paperwork to do....so it went by.
