Baby, it's cold outside

It was +6 degrees on Monday and +56 degrees on Thursday ? Same craziness for the coming week.

It was in the high 10's over here in the Mid-West. Now we're coming back to the low 40's, so not too bad. We had so much snow in December that we had a blackout from both Verizon and Comcast. And I just drink a lot of Hot Chocolate and dress in layers.

I guess I should have waited to complain about the cold. This is a record breaking stretch of cold now. It won't break zero again until at least Friday. Today is -23 with a -40 windchill and it's only getting colder. Projected windchill tonight is -70, yes that's 70 degrees below zero! All schools are already closed for the week. WI has already declared a "state of emergency" which I believe may be a first for cold. I am going into work for awhile today and then thankfully it's my short week at work so I won't need to be back until Friday. I plan to stay home and continue to thank the good Lord I have a good battery on the car and a good furnace in the house!

Tonight is supposed to be a -70 windchill...yes, you saw that right, it's going to be 70 degrees below zero! That's just crazy cold. This is expected to continue until Friday when we should finally move back up to above zero. Schools are already closed through at least Thursday. WI has declared a "state of emergency" which I believe may be a first for cold weather and the capitol is well south of where I am so they won't see quite the level of deep freeze that I will. Thank goodness for a good battery on the car and a good furnace and pipes in the house!
