I am graduating in June with my ADN. I currently have a BA in Communications and English and am debating on getting a second Bachelors to pursue a BSN. In some ways, it seems pointless as I can pursue a MSN through several local universities (bridge program) that cater towards those who have a non-nursing bachelors. However, would I be doing myself a disservice by not obtaining a BSN?
I am currently working as a nurse technician in pediatrics and plan to continue at this hospital as an RN once graduated...so job wise, I already have my foot in the door.
Thanks in advance for your input! ?

If you have the option to do a direct entry MSN after getting your ADN, go for it. The BSN won't confer any added advantage and would just be a waste of your time and money.

Agreed. I'm in the same boat. I looked into RN-BSN options and in the time it would take to bridge to a BSN, I could have my MSN. Go for it!
