Hello everyone,
I'm quite new to this forum and have really gotten some useful information from here, so I hope you can help.
I was accepted into the BSN program at National University (San Diego, CA) and am currently finishing up on my prerequisites (A&P I/II, Micro). I have a BA in another field, so all of my upper division units transferred. The financial aid loans will not be enough to cover the entire program, so I was thinking of transferring into their ASN program instead. My idea was to get my ASN, start working and hopefully get educational assistance from my future employer to help with the BSN expenses. The review commitee denied my request to change programs. They stated that since I have a Bachelor's degree already, I must stick with the BSN program and the ASN program was not an option for me. So, I am wondering if anyone else has heard of this?
Does having a BA automatically mean I have to pursue a BSN or above? It just seems odd to me.
Any information that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Rose
