AVC waitlist

So I turned in my application about 4 weeks ago, and I've been told I am number 148 on the waitlist, basically a three semester wait. Wow, such a long wait just to begin a program. I'm going to try my luck at COC and see if I get accepted for the Spring 2011 semester. I live the Antelope Valley, so I'm not too crazy about the commute, but I've done it before when I used to live in LA but not for a long period of time. Whatever happens I'll just accept my faith, one never knows what the future holds. :-) Good luck to everyone else.

    I just applied to the nursing program at AVC. Since your last post, have you recieved an acceptance letter from AVC? Or did you end up going to COC?

    I actually got into COC on my first try but after going to their orientation I declined bc I learned that the clinical sites are scattered and even further away from santa clarita, so instead I went with AVC and got in after a 2 semester wait. I will be on my second semester starting in Feb '12. Did they tell you what number you were on the wait list? With my class they only took 40 students, but for the new class of spring '12 the took 60 so could be the same situation for fall '12. Times goes by so fast it will be sooner than you expect. Good luck. :)
