Hi All
Looking for feedback from those who have gone through this. I am starting to freak out. It has been 6 weeks since I submitted all of the paperwork required for evaluation for my ATT for NCLEX. I have 1 prior DUI from 2014 that I disclosed of. I was not convicted, but in the BON's definition, they require me to disclose it because it was a nolo contender, more or less. I completed probation and case was dismissed. Never has shown up on CORI or anything , never interfered with jobs. Nonetheless, I felt I needed to be upfront and honest.
The wait is killing me, I have been offered the job of my dreams and the start date is next week. I must take my boards before then and literally am thinking of flying somewhere to do it, should I get an ATT this week.
To be honest, at this point I am just terrified I will be denied licensure. I was hoping to hear from others who may have gone through similar situations and how long it took to get an ATT. I am holding on for dear life trying to keep up with studying, but 3 months of studying for NCLEX is getting really old. I feel like I am trapped in a nightmare! Any input/success/failure stories is appreciated!

I have done a ton of reading on random forums about criminal charges and the BON, as I am going through a case where I didn’t disclose my arrest.
I have read many many many stories of nurses getting their license after a DUI. You were HONEST with the board, you shouldn’t have too many hurdles. You might need to submit the police report, court docs, letters from friends/professionals verifying you have made steps in your life to change. Then, I can see why they wouldn’t give you a license. Your original arrest was not a repeat felony DUI, it was a 1 time mistake.
