I'm applying for an LVN to RN bridge program and have to take the TEAS test. My application is due in June for a January start. I'm not sure yet when I'll take the TEAS test, but definitely before June. I am going to an info session at the college next week, so I'll know more then.
I've been out of school for a long time... completed a BS in 2005 and LPN diploma in 2010. My prerequisites would be considered outdated by many schools. Luckily for me, the school I'm applying at doesn't look at when they were completed.
I'm mostly worried about math and science. My A&P classes were completed in 2008. I've purchased the ATI Smartprep package. It is expensive, but I am hoping it is worth it!
Is anyone else in a similar situation with being out of school for an extended period of time before the TEAS test? Or using the Smartprep package to prepare for the test?

I graduated with my bs in the late 90s, and just started nursing school in January. I also purchased the TEAS Smartprep, and found it very useful; especially the practice tests. I took the TEAS before my A&P 1 class, and actually did well enough to get in to my ASN program on the first round. A little background, I was terrible at math and that was my highest score ironically. I was always an average student. The practice math test questions were very similar to the actual test. The science was mostly A&P, with a little chem and scientific method. Just study, do lots of practice questions, and do the practice tests. You will be fine!!!

Did you take your TEAS yet?? I am scheduled to take mine June 10th and it seems like I'm the only one here with one coming up!!
I have bought the ATI secrets manual, and the TEAS mastery app but I'm still like SUPER scared even though I still have 3 weeks and have finished A&P 1and 2 and chem 101. Everything else I feel okay about but the science portion has me SO nervous.

I took the TEAS BEFORE taking any prereqs, and did well enough to get into nursing school. I think you will be fine!!! Just keep practicing! Good luck!!

Hey, I’m considering purchasing the ATI TEAS Smartprep Package as well. How are you liking it so far? Has it been helpful? Is it worth the purchase?
Thanks,

Hi guys. I am reselling my Ati Teas Smartprep in my account + Practice B assessment + the book (the real book).
I got 86% for my first time and I bought the Smartprep for study just a week before my exam! Email me if you are interested! [email protected]
I started this thread last year after purchasing the Smart Prep package from ATI. I only got as far as the first practice test A and then decided not to apply to that bridge program.
There are two community colleges in my area and the one closest to me has a 4-6 year waitlist. I've been on the wait list two years and would prefer to go to this school. The other school, which requires the TEAS test, has approximately 90 applicants for 3 available seats. It also will require 3 semesters instead of 2.
I think its doesnt hurt to throw my hat in the ring, even though it is currently my second choice school. So, I'm now using the Smart Prep package again. My TEAS test is scheduled for July 10th. I've taken practice test A a second time and have started studying the modules. I like the Smart Prep program so far!

I realize this post is somewhat old, I too am studying the SmartPrep just a week before my test. Did you feel like the SmartPrep questions came from the test question bank? Or were they all different? Just curious.
Hillsb,
Sorry, I didn't find any of the questions to be the same. I liked using smartprep for tracking my progress while studying, but a week before the exam doesn't seem like enough time to utilize the program.
I scored 89. I used smartprep, science with Suzanna, brand craft for math, and nursehub. There is always a 50% off code available for nurse hub. It's way less expensive than smartprep and gives you access to 5 practice tests for each subject you can take as many times as you want.
Math was my lowest score on my first practice test (62%) and highest score on the actual TEAS test (96%). Watch his intro video whether of not you are struggling with math. I only spent 1 day studying math and his videos gave me so many tips I was able to utilize.
I joined a TEAS study group on facebook that was really helpful. Some of the test questions from anatomy and physiology was questions I heard from that group.
I hope this helps,
Good luck ?
