Your textbooks provide topics to discuss for your case scenario assignment. I googled the descriptions of the course texts and saw the book descriptions. In Leading and Managing in Canadian Nursing by Yoder-Wise the topics include; "cultural diversity, delegation, managing information and technology, legal and ethical issues". The text provides "real world concerns of managers and effective methods for problem solving on each of the topics". In Interpersonal Relationships; Professional Communication Skills for Nurses by Arnold there are "case examples to help develop empathy for client's perspective and need".

For more ideas about case scenarios, search the CNO for case examples, you can find them in their journal 'the Standard'. In the Standard May 2014 edition, there is a 'delegation' case scenario, in the scenario a RPN who works in home health care, has a client who is insulin dependent, the RPN wants to know if they can delegate administering insulin subcutaneously to an unregulated health care provider (UCP). Look the scenario up and find out what the answer is and what requirements need to be met in order to delegate.

Ok thanks

Does the teacher want you to describe a scenario based on your past nursing experience? or create a scenario?
