Army enlisted commissioning program

Has anyone out there gone through, or currently going through the AECP to get their nursing education? I have been promised this program if I sign up and would just like some info from someone who has some experience with the program

Thank you

:)

I'm currently in AECP. It is an great opportunity to finish up your degree and have it payed for while you are still receiving full pay and benefits. I'm not sure that you can be "promised" the program. You have to have enough college credit to be able to complete your degree in two years and there is a pretty extensive packet that needs to be compiled and sent to a board in July. I think the board meets in August or September to select who will be admitted to the program. I'm not sure how your recruiter will be able to secure a spot for you without your paperwork going before the board. Also, you are supposed to have 3 years time in service before entering the program but I think it can be waived. Regardless of whether they promise you or not I still think you should go for it. It is an opportunity that is hard to beat. Make sure whatever they say is in writing on your contract when you enlist or there are no guarantees anything will happen. Good luck in whatever you choose to do. Feel free to post any other questions you have and I'll try to answer them.
