Hi, I'm in the process of applying for ELM, and I was wondering if everyone here who applied did not have their recommendation writers fill out APU's recommendation forms? My letter writers have it written on their official letterheads, and I was wondering if these letters would hurt my application if they didn't use the APU form or if they will be flat out not accepted. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!!!

@MsBerry did you try asking apu? Even if someone else did get by without apu recommendation letter, things may have changed since they applied or they might have had to get prior approval. I would always ask APU directly

Yea, thanks for the response! I did email them after I posted here, and they confirmed that the nursing department only accepts recommendations on the APU forms. I hope that not all schools have this requirement. That would be very time consuming for letter writers.

@MsBerry it makes sense for them to have the form because it's easier to compare students (like with the top x% ratings) but of course hard on us applicants. Many/most? other schools do accept actual letters though so hopefully it won't be too tough
