Applying to two nursing schools need help! Question

Okay, this might be a weird/dumb question so apologies if there's any confusion, but I'm planning on applying to two nursing schools this year; let's call them School #1 and School #2.

School #1 offers the BSN only, and School #2 offers the ASN with an optional pathway to obtain your BSN online (12-month online program; I'd have to do an extra year because it's 2yrs for ASN + 1 yr online for BSN. It's also the university I'm currently attending.) I've recently transferred to the school than offers the ASN so I'll be graduating a year behind schedule.

School #2 has an earlier application deadline (Acceptance letters roll out mid-march for the ASN program; for BSN its mid-April), and the school I prefer is School #1 because I'd rather obtain the bachelor's degree. Now I don't mind doing either or because I can afford both programs and I meet the requirements for both programs, but my reasoning is that I don't want to go through an extra year for the bachelors since it'd save me a year of time. I've emailed my academic advisor of School #2 about: If I were to hypothetically get accepted, how long could I hold on to the acceptance letter before committing to the school before the seat gets taken by someone else? in which he responds, "You have 7 days to confirm your acceptance before your spot is given to someone else. We ask that you do not confirm your acceptance unless you're very sure about attending, as once you confirm your acceptance, your spot cannot be given to someone else even if you don't end up attending."

I understand what he says, but wouldn't it be better If I were to get accepted both schools, would it be okay to drop school #2 and go to school and go for #1 even though I've already accepted the acceptance letter? Would I face any punishment/is it a bad thing to do so? I would rather not miss out on applying to the school that offers the ASN, wait on the other school that offers the BSN, then possibly get a rejection letter. I'd like to weigh my options and increase my chances of getting accepted just in case I don't get accepted somehow. Sorry for the rambling!
