Applying to nursing program

Hi guys not sure if i'm posting in the right topic but any help would be appreciated :) I just graduated with my BS in Communication Sciences & Disorders (speech pathology) My GPA from the 4 year university is only a 2.82 but I have a 3.5 gpa from the community college that I attended before. I have always wanted to be a nurse so I have decided I am going to finish up some prereqs this year and apply to accelerated and 2 year nursing programs. If I get all A's in my science prerequisite classes, do I have any chance of getting into a nursing program? I live in NY and am planning on applying to a few private schools and SUNY/CUNY. Thanks!!

Every school has their own admission requirements. I would recommend speaking of the advisor of each school you are looking into so they can tell you EXACTLY what you need. and what to expect.

I'm in a similar boat - I just graduated with my BA in Psychology and am looking to start a nursing program following completion of a couple of courses. I've found the best way to find out if a program is a good fit is to set up a meeting with someone in the nursing department from that school. They can tell you if you need to take additional courses, or what to do to help make your application stand out. Good luck!
