when to apply for new grad programs?

Hi,

I graduate in December of this year (07) and was wondering when most places hire for their new graduate programs. I think that is what I want to do, since I have zero healthcare experience outside of clinicals. I am thinking of moving to Phoenix area. Thanks!

I would apply now in the area you want to work in. Work as a student nurse to gain experience. Once you graduate you should have a position. Plus this is a great way to find out what type of nursing you will enjoy.

I was more curious to know if anyone knows when Phoenix area hospitals hire for new grad programs or when a good time to apply is. I live in Milwaukee but looking to relocate. Thanks.

i don't know anything about arizona but the best thing to do is call the HR offices at the hospitals where you want to work and ask to speak to the new grad recruiter. they should be able to tell you more about the process. in general, i think may graduates start applying in janurary. So i guess you would want to start applying 5-6 months in advance too.
