Application as a nurse in Canada if immigrant

Published

what are the requirements for application in Canada as an immigrant. What are the requirements? My friend is a newly registered nurse here in the Philippines? Thanks a lot for your help

Have a look at the Canadian immigration website. It tells you everything you need to know to immigrate. The web address is

www.cic.gc.ca

Your friend would also need to decide which province they would like to move to because they all have different requirements for registering in Canada as an RN.

Good luck

HI,

My advice is to have a definite place where would you like to practice..like for example, if you want to work in vancouver, try to look at their website (British Columbia Nurses Assosciation) then download the application form or request it on-line.they will provide you with all the requirements they needed, school records, prc license and english proficiency test or IELTS. Once you have completed all those requirements, and they approved you to sit the exam, you can now start searching for hospitals once you arrived here to sit the exam..you can apply directly, you dont need agency. Just search the web for those hospitals. Good thing about Canada, you can start working even you dont have the result yet, they'll give you a temporary license to practice for 4 mos...and once they've offered you an employment, and you have a relative here in canada, try to avail of the Provincial Nominee Program to have your immigration proceed much quicker and you have a shot for residency in a short period of time..
