anyone?

I know this is not the place to ask this, but does anyone know if there are athletic trainers who are enlisted in the military?

Hello millerb:

Not sure what you are asking....I know that, for instance, Bally's (that exercise chain,) has prior enlisted working now as trainers. I specifically asked for someone with prior service when I needed to lose ten pounds before OBC many moons ago.

Hey, anyway, happy hunting, I do hope you find the answer that you are seeking!

We don't have active athletic trainers in the AirForce as far as I know. We have active suty personel that work at the gym and the Health and Wellness Centers, but their actual AFSC/MOS is not as an athletic trainer.

Theoretically, all noncommissioned officers in each of the services is an "athletic trainer". As part of the first level of leadership school, they are trained to lead their units in physical training, are expected to know how and why, and to do these duties when called upon. Don't know if this answers the question you have.

Are you a LAT? It seems like the Bach degree might at least help you get into an officer program. Good luck!
