Anyone applying for the PHCC Spring 2013 RN/LPN program

Just wanting to connect & be/get encouragement from other hopefuls who are applying to the program. Anyway, who's up for stalking the mailman with me?

Hi again. I started a new thread too (before I saw this one) & I'm trying to figure out how to delete it so we all chat here. I was enjoying connecting with other potential students too & I hope we can have some fun discussions here. :)

Funny enough my newest hobby is stalking the mailbox. I got a letter from PHCC last week (not about nursing) but just seeing an envelope from the school was enough to get my heart racing.

BTW my teas score is 86.7 & pre-req gpa is 3.6. Would anyone else like to share their scores?

I got a letter about my pell grant & even though I knew it was to early for the program letter I still reacted like you did :) I just want to get this chapter in my life started!

my TEAS score is 84% & my pre-req GPA is 3.79

I applied for both the RN/LPN program just in case.

Just checking in here on this thread. Zero drama kinda guy so look forward to good lighthearted conversation here. Jen my gpa is 3.6 and teas score 85. So if you hear that I get in, should be good news for you.

Hi, everyone. I am glad to see your comments. I have 4.0 gpa over all but proficient teas scores (low 70s). Hope to see you guys in the class. Good luck for all of you and me too.

@taeyoung04 - From what I've heard only about 10% of applicants have advanced scores or higher so your GPA should give you a pretty good edge. Good luck :)

Is everyone applying for the West campus? Did anyone else apply for both the RN/LPN program?

Welcome @taeyoung04!! I think you have an excellent shot with that 4.0. @rnwannabe75: I thought that only 10% scored advanced in teas. Maybe that's what you are saying and I'm reading it wrong. ??

oops yes thats what I meant, advanced or higher :)

Thanks everybody for the encouragement. Looks like I am the few ones who got the proficient score.

You still have a great chance w your GPA. Most of the people that I have talked to personally at school have scored lower than 73% and in the 60%s and w/out the 4.0 GPA

Yeah taeyoung score is only part of equation. If only 10% are advanced, that means you are at the top of the 90% with proficient and still above some that tested advanced because of that 4.0 . Bet you will be good.

Hello everyone. I just want to connect with people who were also waiting to hear if they got in to the program or not. I am enjoying the build up of stalking the mailbox. Kind of like Christmas. (the anticipation)

Have a good day everyone and good luck to everyone. Everyone seems to have great gpa and entrance exam scores.

It is kind of like Christmas, it's like a right-of-passage and I'm so ready to get started on this chapter of my life!!!

does anyone know if they voted on the LPN program at the same time as the RN program?
