  1. Well congrats on getting this started. Best wishes to you.
  2. Just out of curiosity did you guys both take the teas V? I've been told that the teas V carries a little more weight because it is harder. Don't know if that's true just what I've heard.
  3. I did get the letter today and am happy to say I was accepted into the RN program. Wishing luck to those who haven't gotten their letters yet. For reference I had 3.6 gpa on prereqs with 85 score on teas.
  4. Agreed. I was prepping for the Spc RN program until discovered I couldn't get in no matter how qualified living in pasco county. Lots of prerequisites for that program so fortunately I've completed all of the corequisites.
  5. Well my name is Phil. Originally from South Carolina, been in Tampa Bay Area for about 7 years now. Im 35 yo Married to an RN of 11 years actually and have a wonderful 3 yo son. We are hoping to have another baby and at 35 we don't really have the luxury to wait. So for me I think balancing a new baby and the program will be the most difficult part. Sounds like there will be a lot of no's for every yes. Hope everyone here gets a yes. Hope to meet everyone soon enough.
  6. Just want to do something that is truly rewarding beyond money. I have a backround in sales. Don't dislike money, but it doesn't make me happy or motivate me. I believe I would like to work in the ER. However I am keeping an open mind until I have more exposure. Ready to get started.
  7. @roseyfaulkingham. That's probably right . Admissions however has told many different things to different people here on this board. I'm just working with the ideal that it will come one of these days.
  8. No letter today so obviously not sent out Friday. Who knows when they will be. could get it tomorrow , could be two weeks lol. Oh well , just have to wait it out.
  9. Ok, so mail just came and no letter. The wait continues....
  10. Not sure what the tie breaker is. I would imagine it is the indicator for passing the nclex since a lot of a schools reputation surrounds the percentage that pass from what I understand. When it comes to data, that could be anything. Lol
  11. @kt1830 Welcome and rest easy. Im betting folks here have some of the better stats. No real way to know. I have a 3.6 with advanced teas. I imagine that your stats and my stats balance each other out. Heres to both of us gettin in.
  12. Welcome conquestadorf. The word on the street is letters go out next week. Find a good spot to stakeout your mailbox. lol
  13. Lol I don't know for sure but I imagine that there are a lot of people that apply to both. I did not but I would hope that they select for RN first then Lpn so there aren't so many alternates for Lpn due to dual acceptance. I guess they may select without that consideration though so applicants have the choice??? In short, guess I have no idea but interested .
  14. Yeah taeyoung score is only part of equation. If only 10% are advanced, that means you are at the top of the 90% with proficient and still above some that tested advanced because of that 4.0 . Bet you will be good.
