did anyone apply to the new grad program at hemet valley?

I applied to Hemet Valley on July 8th 2013 and was wondering if anyone else did and has heard back? They were very clear not to contact them and ask about the status of applications. I had a friend try to apply on the 10th and they said they were not accepting anymore app's..... meaning they got tons, of course.

It kinda bothers me that hospitals say "please dont contact us". I do understand they receive an abundance of applications but what about just common curtacy and thanking those who took the time to locate, write a cover, drive or fill out app on line? ugh that even sounds silly as i write it, of course they don't care, thousands of apps for 10 or 20 jobs.

How do i get someone to put my app on the top of the pile if i don't have a relative working at a hospital????

WILL I EVER FIND A JOB??? :(((

I applied as well. I spoke to the person in HR in charge of the new grad program back in early July and told her that I wouldn't have my license # until mid July and she said they were accepting applications up until July 26th, however, you had to have already received one from HR. I just sent mine in today. Fingers crossed.

I applied as well and they said they will hopefully be calling first week of August to schedule interviews.

Thanks for the reply. As I was leaving after filling out the application, the gal at the front desk was saying to everyone "if you don't hear from us by the end of july, we have probably gone with another candidate". I was hopping to hear by now, I have a bad feeling. I wish I knew.

I wish they would just send an email so i knew for sure.

I applied as well and called this week Tuesday. ------------, the lady who is at the front desk answered and when asking her if they began interviewing or if they have made their selection she said no... We will all hope to learn something this week. Good luck my fellow RNs. :)

I applied, but have accepted another offer...so I'm out of the running for Hemet. Good luck to you all!

afls405, I wonder if where we live plays a role in their selection process. I had a friend that didn't get chosen for another hospital out that way because they said they gave preference to riverside residents.

Where do you live? i live SUPER FAR!!!!!

Id hate tho think none of us made it. The lady at the front desk was very incessant that if they didn't call by the end of july they went with other applicants.

Lamjammcgee, I do live in Riverside but I'm not sure if they show preference to people that live in Riverside. Why not show preference to Hemet, Perris, or Lake Elsinore then? I think we've been given a lot of time to think of all the possibilities that could happen with our application. If we get an interview it would be awesome and if not...on to the next one!
