Anyone accepted in programs want to post stats for future applicants?

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Thought it might be nice to compiled stats, experiences, and acceptances of 2013 applicants into one thread. I know as a potential 2014 applicant, the process is daunting and its hard to find solid stats from the schools themselves. Maybe just where you applied, where you got in, and what gpa/degree, work/volunteer experiences you had?

I only applied to Missouri State University and got accepted! I just finished up my associate of arts degree in December 2012 with a 4.0 GPA. I don't have any previous patient care experience, but I have worked as a medical transcriptionist for 5 years next month, which my school counted as healthcare experience. The only volunteer hours I had were 9 hours that were required for my Sociology class at Ronald McDonald House.

The admissions at my school go by a point system taking into account GPA; the grades you received on your first attempt at chemistry, anatomy, and math; previous healthcare experience; and students who took their pre-reqs at the university got extra points (which I didn't; I took my pre-reqs at a local community college).
