Any Ohio SN?

What are your thoughts on your new quarantine guidelines?  How in the world is anyone going to keep track of whether or not masks were work and distance was maintained?

Eliminating quarantine for close contacts in school feels wildly risky to me. I trust ODH's recommendations but these new guidelines have me feeling a lot less confident that I can keep my kids safe from COVID. If I can't exclude students who were more than likely exposed that's a huge concern. Especially with how difficult nailing down a list of close contacts is when students do test positive. The students are the ones who tell me about their play dates and close contact with other kids, the parents rarely tell me if there was a social gathering outside of school.

It feels like private investigating at times - having to call parents because of students tattling about sick and COVID positive family members, facebook posts about parents being positive but still sending kids to school, anonymous tips emailed in about positive families... it's exhausting.

Have you had a lot of cases in your school? How's support been from your staff/administrators and the health dept.? I feel lucky that my point of contacts at the local health dept. are incredibly supportive and on my side. Hope you're hanging in there!

I'm in Indiana.  I think it's crazy how states in the same region are doing things so differently!

Our admin & HD have been awesome.  We're pretty much sticking with CDC guidelines.  Indiana does support the 10 day early Q return with stipulations of 100% mask and distance.  But our district decided we're going to stick with the full 14 days.

We do not, in my district, investigate tattle-tale or anonymous messages or calls.  If a kid says something we will call and ask on that.  Or if we see evidence on social media that has the potential to impact the health of our staff and students, our admin backs us up on calling them out (not on SM obviously, but from work).
