Any Masters Entry Program with Oncology or Genomics or Women's Health Emphasis?

Hi there,

I'm new on here and am so glad I found such a great resource! It's been hard to find my information and when I do, there is so MUCH OF IT! One thing I haven't been able to find is this: Does anyone know of any other Masters Entry Programs like the one at UCSF specializing in any combination of Oncology/Genetics/Women's Health? I like the one at Univ of Washington. And I was going to add UCLA to my list, but they aren't schooling you to be a CNS and that's what I want. I'm working in a biotech company right now and we are developing a drug metabolism SNP genotyping assay. Very cool and has serious implications for the future of healthcare. Only I'm really bored with squirting stuff into tubes now and am looking to become a nurse where I can connect with PEOPLE and not test tubes. Someone hit me back!

Not down with the acronyms yet...

Hey, Moxie!

You might want to check into Yale's GEPN program. They offer an oncology NP, a cardiovascular CNS, women's health NP, etc. I think you might find the right combo of what you are looking for there.

Good luck,

Right on Kensington! Thanks for the quick reply. Columbia looks pretty interesting too. The only thing is that I would prefer CNS to NP. Not even entirely sure I understand the difference, but from what I do know so far, CNS might be a better fit for me. Not that many programs with Genetics specialties... considering its impact on healthcare, I'm very surprised this isn't reflected in the nursing programs.
