Any BSN programs in SoCal (with open app period)

Published

Hello!

I am a pre-nursing student, I've recently finished all of my Nursing prerequisites at the San Diego Community College District. This last application period I had applied to six CSU BSN programs, and unfortunately was rejected by all of them. My GPA isn't that great, I had a slow start to my college education, so it took me very long just to raise it to a 3.12, but my TEAS score is 92%, and my science pre-reqs are all A's.

I am currently lost on what to do next. I would love to begin a BSN program for Spring 2018, if not this upcoming Fall term. However, I am having a hard time finding BSN programs with open application periods for the upcoming school term. I live in San Diego and would like to stay here but am willing to commute hours if I have to. Does anyone know of any BSN programs in Southern California that are accepting applicants currently? I am open to trying private colleges, since I had a hard time getting into the CSU programs.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Have you looked at Azusa Pacific, Point Loma Nazarene, and National University. They are less competitive in SD. Or, get an ADN and then bridge to the BSN. The CSU bridge programs are also much less competitive.

Thank you for your suggestions, I very much appreciate it! I am looking into them now.
