Sorry, my brain is frazzled and the test date fast approaches. I saw the great post by david, ty. I see on the CDC site that for Droplet, one doesnt always eye protection??
And just to clarify--anytime one goes into a patients room that is on Droplet precautions, one has to done the mask, gown and gloves? Even if one is going in to drop off a tray of food? Same goes for airbourne, juts to drop off food, one must get fully geared up?
Where as if a client is just on contact precautions, if ur not coming into contact with patient, there is no gloving, gowning!! thanks all!!

Anytime u have a droplet precautiion and u come within 3 feet of a pt u need a mask.
Anytime u have an airborne precaution when u step foot in the room u must have the respirator mask on regardless.
Please let me know if this help you
