I finally landed my first travel nurse position! I will be traveling to Annapolis for 13 weeks at Anne Arundel! Can anyone provide me with any information about the hospital and the city itself?

Thanks in Advance!

which unit will you be working on? What do you want to know about AAMC/the Annapolis area?

Beautiful facility and city. I haven't worked there but know a few nurses who do and they are happy. The area is fantastic imo. Kind of a quaint little area but with all the modern conveniences and only a short drive to Balto. or DC. Welcome.

I will be in the surgery department doing pre-op. Any basic information about the hospital or the area would be great, like weather, eateries, night life, and things to do.

Welcome! I've lived in Annapolis for 15 years, but just began NS :) I have been in and around AAMC for various things over th eyear and loved it. Will you be at the hospital or the outpatient surgical center-Edwards?

As far as Annapolis. What is your lifestyle? Age range? Are you married or have children? Do you have a choice on where to live or do they provide housing?

Annapolis is great for young singles. Tons of restaurants, literally everything (except I would prefer another Indian choice) you can imagine. Public transport is not great, but manageable. They like to refer to Annapolis as The Sailing Capitol of the East Coast but I think folks in providence would battle for that.

If you can give me a better idea of what you're interested in, I can give you more details. Either way, I think Annapolis is an awesome place to spend 13 weeks or 13 years!
