... Having dreams about care plans! I dreamed i was having a really hard time with it and received help from our wonderful and friendly mod Esme and still didn't get it, and i did so awful on it! I woke up in a panic! I think I'm pretty scared of them... Obviously. Anyone else nervous about them?

How do they start them off in the first part? I will be in basic nursing practicum 1, health assessment practicum, and hospital measurements. I noticed on the book list for the basic nursing practicum a care plan book is required.

They aren't scary or hard, just more like a huge pain in the ass because they take so long and a lot of it feels tedious.

"Nightmares," comes to mind over "dreams."

Yeah, poor wording on my part. It was more of a nightmare!

I'm not really sure how to edit my post.. :/ sorry and thanks for the reply

haha, no sweat. My post was more in jest. There's nothing wrong with your post. ;)

Awww you poor thing! Really though care plans are not that bad. They can be very time consuming but once you get the hang of them they become very easy. They aren't that bad, I promise :) And use your care planning book, my aunt that graduated 20 years ago never had that! I cannot imagine.

Will they direct us to buy nanda or how does that work?

lol I was wondering :) We had to buy a nurse care plan book our second semester which we used the Ackley and Ladwig one which it has all the NANDA's in it and what I really like about it, is they have a whole section that list medical dgx and commonly used nandas for it. Care plans are really not bad. My first one I made some mistakes, my 2nd was better, and then by the end of that semester I really got it and after that it was nothing. I mean they are a huge pain in the ass because they take forever to do, especially my 12-15 page ones my crazy instructor wanted last semester but its just the time thats hard not teha ctual work.
