Almost dome with the program. What now ? Under what circumstances do I have to disclose my past ? How can I use my experience to help other nurses ? How should I react when I encounter my for me coworkers? It seems like they are perfect am I am still - not. It seems like some things can be forgiven but some things cannot. Like mental illness and drug addiction. Do people really thimk I choose to be this way? I have accepted myself for who I am . I am sorry for what I was but not for who I am. How can I help others ?

The biggest thing I would recommend is that you continue to work your program. Weather that's 12 steps, doing good deeds etc you will be a very high risk for relapse so hang onto the things that help you stay sober. Never be sorry for who you are - continue to make amends for your past and move on and enjoy your life. You are not going to change the judgmental minds of those who don't or won't understand "Normies just don't get it sometimes"

You know what? Listen to your heart, your gut, your vibe whatever you want to call it.....you will know how to face situations when they arise... Here's a great quote "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies WITHIN us" (Emerson). Be true to yourself, everything else will fall in line.
