Hi just kinda new here. Just wanna ask bout the associate in health science education (ahse) degree. What jobs can you apply in the us? Or is it accredited? Or can you take a board as an lpn? Thanks! Anything will help.

You cannot be a nurse with such a degree. In order to take the LPN licensing exam you need to graduate from a practical nursing program. If you are looking to immigrate most visas require a minimum of a bachelor's degree and experience in an in-demand occupation. This sounds like a general studies degree that is not training for a specific career.

Maybe a secretary but that is only a HS diploma. Doesn't sound like a career linked degree.

I took it in philippines im in nursing program thats 2 years course the associate in health science education (ahse) and after you passed it you can proceed to bsn for another 2 years its actually a degree

It doesn't translate to a healthcare career in the US. It's a pre-nursing degree

To the OP, I highly suggest you read the following article below, it is so TRUE! It puts everything in today's perspective. I can tell you that literally clos to 4,000 to 5,000 of us PH nurses can't make it in CA alone since Nov. 2011 (and there are several other states), yes, they will always be a few (as in handful) and yes, you may be one, but the odds are very much against that, very high.

Even without the strict enforcements, there's little to no demand any more of PH nurses, as the US has grown their own supplies to the tune of even the new grads are over saturated given their high unemployment rate and with more and more hospital (I'm guessing that's your real desired job) hiring the local US residents and of those that completed their clinicals inside those hospitals, it's a very big gamble. Will it change in a few years? Yes, but probably in the next decade (maybe).

AHSE is actually part of the "ladderized" nursing program offered by nursing schools in the Philippines. I myself finished this before proceeding to the nursing proper. It "might" land you a job as a CNA, but even with that you probably have to undergo some training and certifications. You have to realise that a foreign degrees especially health care degrees, are always subject to evaluations. And mostly, it's not directly comparable.
