Agency Question?????

Hey ya'll I was just wondering if any of you have heard of Travel Nurses Across America? The benefits, living accommodations and everything seem great. But I'm unsure. I'm new to this so I would like to know and would appreciate any information about Travel Nursing and agencies.

Furnished housing can mean anything. Can mean basic furniture or fully stocked with linens and dishes. What about travel to the assignment? Don't see anything about that listed there. How far are you travelling? Do you have to drive you own car, or do they fly you and give you a rental car?

I am new to this site and would like to Chime in on NurseBetti's Question .

I am curious if there are any agencies that allow weekender assignments , I am interested in not working 36-40 hrs a week as a traveler is that possible ?

When folks say , is it in your contract at what point do you sign a contract ?

Or at what point in the process are you obligated to take an assignment with an agency ( after the contract is signed only)

You will still need to work at least 36 hours on a travel contract per week. There are no 24 hour travel assignments, that would just be per diem. You are expected to be the same as a full-time employee. And I do not know of any Baylor-style travel assignments. Why would a facility nedd to pay for your living expenses for the rest fo the week then???

When you give your verbal word that you have accepted the contract then you are expected to live up to the that obligation.

You normally agree to the position and discuss everything with your recruiter, then a written contract is sent for you to sign.

There is already much discussed about this here, just please do a search.
