Agency question

Greetings all,

I work full time at a hospital and administration has started bringing in registry/agency nurses due to budgeting issues.

I applied to the agency and got hired.

Am I allowed to work at the hospital I’m employed by as a registry/agency nurse?

It would be best to consult with your employer's HR department, jmmh.

Some restrictions do apply.

At Wrongway, I've not known nurses to work both for the facility and the agency, but other staff members- CNAs, Techs, Security, Housekeeping and Sitters- have done so.

That was back some years ago when both agency nurses and sitters were being utilized. I believe Wrongway ceased using agency employees in those areas because it was not cost efficient.

Each hospital has its own policies. Like Davey said, best to check with HR to find out.
