AED training

I have 2 AED's in my building. I have 4 people who are certified in CPR.

I would like to train as many people as possible to use the AED's.

Can I train people who have not had CPR on the AED's ? I think it will still be useful for them to at least know how to use the AED, even if they don't do CPR.

I appreciate all of your input. Thanks !

I agree. Training to use an AED is easy since they are set up for anyone to be able to use. In our schools, we have our local EMS come in and do the AED and CPR training at the same time, so they get both.

I think that in order to train others to use an AED that you have to be qualified as a trainer.

Also, I would think that only those trained in CPR should use AED's. More than likely if someone needs an AED, they are going to need rescue breaths or CPR as well.
