Hello all. I am just hunting good advice, words of wisdom with going to school part-time for FNP and working 32hrs/week with husband and 3 year old son!
I know it will be hard but would like to hear about successes, pitfalls, tips, words of wisdom, encouragement etc! Thanks to all who respond!!

It is totally doable. I go to school FT and work PT. I made sure my husband was aware of how tight the budget would be for 2 years and we are making it work. Taking classes PT seems to be great for the people in my program who are doing it that way. You shouldn't have any problems if you keep yourself organized and set up time to get your classwork done. Sometimes I get a bit jealous of my schoolmates who are taking it PT, say 1 or 2 classes at a time. But it will all work out in the end. 10 more months to go for me! You can do it!

I too have been curious about this! I currently work FT and am finishing my BSN (which I did PT to FT depending on when courses were offered, i'd had as many as 16cr in one semester before) and did so with three kids (age 8, 7 and 5) and a hubby and work...I figure I can probably swing the theory classes with working full time but once clinical hours start, i'll need to scale back my hours tremendously...
