I'm a student nurse in my finals - I'm planning to travel to uk or us after my finals but I don't know which one will be easier.

Specializes in Advanced Practice, surgery.

Where do you live at the moment, this will depend if you will be able to apply to work in the UK. If you are a EU citizen then you don't require a work permit to work in the UK however if your not within the EU as a new grad it would be almost impossible for you to gain work as to gat a working Visa you will need to fit into one of the shortage occupations listed on the UK border agency site, you will also need to meet the criteria for nursing registration by the nursing and midwifery council

So the answer will very much depend on where your from.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

To add on to what Sharrie has said the US has retrogression and unless you qualify under NAFTA or E3 (Mexican/Canadian or Australian citizen) then you have a very long wait for the US and work visa

All depends on where you live and what nationality you are to how quick/long it will take if at all

I'm from Nigeria and I school here also..Thx Sharrie and Silverdragon
