Although getting my bsn is my ultimate goal, I needed to get my foot in the door. I have a one year old and a seven year old and I thought getting at least my lpn first would allow me to make a little more money than I am now and then I can return to get my bsn. Please feel free to leave advice!!! Is there anything I need to know to succeed? How many hours did you spend studying? How did you manage school with being a mother? Ohh and all my prerequisites are finished, does that make it any easier???

Congratulations on being accepted.
As a mother of young kids, you will need to ensure you have great childcare resources. Depending on how far you live from your clinical sites, you will need to be at clinical very early, earlier than many daycare facilities are open. Make contingency plans for what to do if your children are ill or school/daycare is closed due to weather etc. What about when you need quiet time to study? Do you have someone who can take care of the kids so you can have some uninterrupted study time?
