I graduated from my ADN program + passed my NCLEX back in 2021 and had a hard time finding a job so I settled for a job in February 2022 which I did not like, it just wasn't a good culture fit. I was grieving the loss of a family member and we moved after I graduated as well which made it even harder. I became really unwell physically and mentally, I literally had to quit or else IDK if I would have survived. I quit and I joined a healthcare volunteering group in my county which I've done a few nurse things with. I went back for my BSN and just finished it back in May, super exciting ? I have clinical experience in long term care, medsurg, OR, cath lab, psychiatry, OB, pediatrics, daycare center for children, public health DOH, and primary care office nursing. I absolutely loved public health, postop, and primary care.
I've been applying for jobs now and I've had a bunch of interviews but I keep getting rejected... I know having my license for a while now and not putting it to "paid" use isn't the most ideal (and I don't really want to talk about the bad culture job again even though it was experience albeit not a long one) but I really want to begin my career and the next chapter of my life. I am currently working but not in healthcare, I'm thinking about applying for a non nurse healthcare job somewhere and maybe see if I can apply for nursing as an internal candidate but I want some advice from nurses themselves. Thank you!!
