Advice on how to get here

I am currently an associates prepared nurse looking to get AWAY from bedside nursing, i've been a nurse for 2 years. Is this a stressful pathway? any helpful and constructive advice will be appreciated.

Do you have any type of IT background? Are you serving as a super-user for your current system? Are you willing to devote resources to getting the needed education? Have you looked at what type of qualifications the job entails?

All important questions you must answer FIRST before you start applying for informatics positions.

It depends on whether or not this type of thing come naturally to you. I know a lot of people who can be in a crazy code environment and not feel stressed, but if you put them in front of a big group of people to present new ideas they freak out. If you like tech, project management, instructional design and working without clear instructions it might not be a stressful pathway for you. If you prefer to come to work knowing what is expected of you and being able to clock out at the end of the day this type of work might not be for you.
