ADN- When to apply?

I just recently considered ADN as a backup if I don't get into a BSN program. When should I start applying to ADN programs? Because I heard waitlists can make you wait for years! Currently I'm taking the last of my pre-reqs and GEs. So should I start applying now? I plan on applying to a lot to increase my chances.

Many ADN programs require that you complete all of your prerequisites before you can even apply. You should check the BRN website to see the list of approved ADN programs in Cali because each school has a different application period. For Fall 2014 entry, some schools had a Feb 1 deadline while others have a Mar 15 deadline. Good luck on your research!

Every school has different deadlines. Best to search the adn programs offered in california. And that's not entirely true about waitlist. You increase your chances by applying to more than one college. I applied to 6 adn programs and got in 2 on my first try. 5 were based on lottery and 1 on point system.
