Hi just a quick question. We are in the ICU section of our semester and we need to know about hemodynamic monitoring. I know the CVP pressures and the Wedge pressures for Pulmonary Artery and the medical treatment for each complication. Should I go any further? There are different pressures in each chamber and i was just wondering do we need to know those? Anyways any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure how in depth they would want you to go for clinical, you should ask your instructor. For exam purposes know what nursing interventions goes along with hemadynamic monitoring. For example: If CVP is high, pt. is in fluid overload and will need an order for a diurectic. If CVP is low then pt. is hypovolemic and need fluids. Know about the Allen's test!!! Know about the site of the phlebostatic axis. You should do fine !
