ADN in Philippines

Hello everyone... I am Kris. I am planning on taking an associate Degree in Nursing here in the Philippines. They say that they have US curriculum and after I graduate I could take the NCLEX. My concern is, can ADN graduates find work there in America? Thank you:nuke:

Most of the working RNs in the U.S. are ADN nurses. There are more ADN nursing programs than there are BSN programs is why.

Hey Kris!

I'm currently in a diploma program here in the states and I plan on eventually moving to the philippines and working over there. You won't have any trouble finding a job over here. There are tons of ADN nurse jobs available.

Our ADN program here is only for 2 years... I do not know if I can be allowed to apply for a working visa using adn-rn earned degree... Do you know of someone who studied here in the Philippines then later worked in the US?

Krissybee14, you've asked this very same question in two different forums in this website. You can not keep asking the same question and hope to get the answer you want to hear. The US-based RN's responding to your question here have no idea about immigration rules for RN's from foreign countries. Listen to the response you got from the Philippine Nursing Forum of this site:

YOU CAN NOT GET AN EMPLOYMENT BASED VISA TO WORK IN THE US WITH AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NURSING.

THERE IS RETROGRESSION IN PLACE FOR ISSUANCE OF FOREIGN NURSE VISAS. QUALIFIED BSN GRADUATES FROM THE PHILIPPINES CAN NOT GET A VISA RIGHT NOW. THE WAIT IS PROJECTED TO LAST FOR 5 YEARS.

YOU CAN NOT PRACTICE AS A NURSE IN THE PHILIPPINES WITH AN ASSOCIATES DEGREE. THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT TO TAKE THE PHILIPPINE BOARD EXAM FOR NURSES TO BECOME RN'S IS A BSN. THERE IS ALSO NO LPN REGISTRATION IN THE PHILIPPINES.

THE ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN NURSING AS OFFERED IN THE PHILIPPINES WAS DEVELOPED BY UNSCRUPULOUS INDIVIDUALS WHO THINK THEY CAN FOOL A LOT OF FILIPINOS TO TAKE THE EASY ROUTE TO A NURSING DEGREE AND WORK IN THE US. DON'T BE ONE OF THE ONES TO BUY INTO THEIR LIES AND FURTHER FATTEN THEIR POCKETS.
