ADN Level 2 Nursing Students

i just completed 1st semester as a level ii student with 2 more semesters to go. i hail from alabama.

I am not too sure what level two means but I am a second year student starting my 4 semester this Sept.

rhona, same difference. this was the first time i had heard of level i and level ii when i started at the school i attend now.

I am in my 4th of 5 semesters.

The ADN program that I'm in works like this....

Once you have completed all entry requirements and have received you letter of acceptance; you start the nursing levels. Levels 1 through 4 each lasting ~ 3-4 months (= to a semester each). After successful completion, you receive an associates degree and are ready for the NCLEX.

Ok, so for you what this means is that you are a second semester nursing student? That means your in your first year right? I guess it means different things in different schools.

I start my 4th semester on 8-18. I will graduate in December. I have pediatrics,OB, and mental health.

I will be starting my 5th out of a 6 quarter ADN program in the fall. So if by level I and II you mean 1st year and 2nd year, I am in the middle of my second year and will graduate in March.

I'll be starting 2nd semester (of 4 semesters for the ADN program) on August 25th.

Two weeks!!! EEEEEK!!!!!

I wonder if we will be doing some of the same things. I've heard the ADN program that I'm involved will be learning to pass meds. run IVs and doing caths.

Have you all heard of what to expect?

In the first 3 weeks we have checkoffs on sterile dressings, injections, IV's and catheters. In week 2 we do our math test and check offs on med administration.

Those 3 weeks will be a WHIRLWIND!!
