Hello All,
I am new to this site and I am in my first semester of nursing school, AND. I live on the east coast up north (NY) . I am concern about getting a job after I complete this program. It seems to me that health care agencies are only hiring BSN with experience. What did you guys experience? I just would like to get some feedback.
Thanks

NYC is almost exclusively not only BSN RN but BSN RN with experience preferred. Upstate NY seems to have more new grad opportunities

I agree wholeheartedly with the previous poster. If you are flexible and willing to relocate upstate, or to another state altogether, you'll be able to secure acute care hospital employment if that's what you desire to do with your career.
However, if you are willing to work outside the hospital setting, you may find a nursing home, hospice, home health company, or private duty job in NYC/NJ with an associate degree in nursing. Good luck to you.
