Adn to bsn

After you get your associates degree nursing. Whats an adn to bsn program like? What kind of classes do you take and do you have clinicals?

Classes in statistics, nursing theory, research/EBP, healthcare systems, ethics and community health. Most programs have some type of community health practicum that has to be completed, but there aren't generally clinical rotations the way there was in nursing school.

basically, you would be taking the difference between what you acquired for your ADN versus generic BSN. There is more emphasis on critical thinking and leadership and learning to use evidence based data for your practice.

Some classes were repeated and similar to the classes in my ADN program like: community, leadership, and geriatrics (ours was "gerontology and our teacher made a big deal about it). It was writing a lot of papers. The indirect clinical basically involved researching and talking to a preceptor about the research project.
